CalCompute cannot move forward without a legislative appropriation, a fully appointed Consortium, and a coalition of advocates, researchers, and technologists working to make it real. Here's how to help.
Coalition Membership
Join the Coalition
The UC CalCompute Coalition is a coalition of University of California students, alumni, and faculty. We are an independent, community-led effort supporting the CalCompute initiative.
We welcome contributions from researchers, technologists, policy advocates, labor organizers, ethicists, public interest lawyers, and anyone who cares about equitable public access to computing resources.
Ways to Contribute
Research
Help produce or review analysis on any of the seven framework report elements. We are building the research base the Consortium will need to write a strong framework report by January 1, 2027.
Advocacy
Help track the California budget process and build support for a legislative appropriation to activate CalCompute. Without funding, the initiative cannot proceed.
Outreach
Help us reach communities, institutions, and individuals who would benefit from CalCompute — researchers, students, nonprofits, startups, and public agencies across California.
Web & Design
Help build and maintain CaliforniaCompute.org. The site is open source — contributions to the codebase, design, and content are welcome.
