Accessibility Statement

CaliforniaCompute.org is committed to making this site usable for everyone, including people who rely on assistive technologies.

Our commitment

We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. As a project focused on a California public initiative, we also take guidance from Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act and California Government Code §§ 7405 and 11135 (AB 434).

Measures we take

  • Semantic HTML with a single descriptive <h1> per page and a logical heading order.
  • A "Skip to main content" link at the top of every page.
  • Text alternatives for meaningful images and decorative images marked accordingly.
  • Keyboard-operable navigation and visible focus styles.
  • Color choices reviewed for sufficient contrast.

Known limitations

This site is under active development. Some pages may not yet fully meet every WCAG 2.1 AA success criterion. We are working to identify and resolve these issues, and we welcome reports that help us prioritize.

Reporting barriers

If you encounter an accessibility barrier on this site, please email [email protected] with the page address and a description of the problem. We aim to respond to accessibility feedback promptly.
