Omar Aslai
Research Lead
Omar Aslai is a master’s student in information and data science at UC Berkeley, where he is also a graduate research assistant with the campus Energy and Resources Group. He joined CalCompute’s research work in 2026.
Previously he worked as a data analyst for the Southwest Asian and North African Association and spent a year at Nuro as an autonomous vehicle operator. He holds a bachelor’s degree in business analytics from San Jose State University and publishes data and machine learning projects on GitHub.
